There are many things to consider when starting a new project. Some can be complex, such as choosing the siding and exterior colors, creating a layout that will accommodate your family’s needs, or designing a room to maximize space to get the most storage. Even the smaller details can be challenging, like deciding what kind of flooring will look best and be most durable, or whether antique bronze matches your color scheme better than brushed nickel. It’s important to remember you’ll most likely build or redesign your home once (at least for a while), so the end result should be exactly as you envisioned from the day you decided to start. We work with many builders, contractors, and homeowners. Often we find clients completing an addition or project on their home, but since they are done so infrequently, current design and material options are unfamiliar to them. Another common issue is clients who see a style they like on TV or in a magazine, but they don’t realize that it won’t hold up to their family’s lifestyle or it is incompatible with their current design, style, or materials.
Many people erroneously believe that “designer” is synonymous with expensive. The reality is that not having help before you begin a project can turn very costly in the end. Let us help you save time and resources!
What do we do?
Step 1: Discovery Call —Help us learn your needs, tastes, and goals. We will ask the questions and you will provide us the information we need to assess your project and make your life easier.
Step 2: One-to-One Consultation — For a small fee, we will meet you at the location of your project. We will listen as you walk us through your goals and describe your intended end result. We will provide you suggestions and ideas to consider.
Step 3: Hiring Creations by Caty (we would be delighted to work with you!) — we will begin the planning process. If the contractors I recommend using will be doing the labor or installation, I will schedule them to measure/meet with us. We will get all the necessary samples. Until we find the “perfect” one, we will continue searching for you. You’ll know it when you see it! Start and end dates will be planned and the fun will begin!
